Frequently asked questions

How does the audit work?

Paste any Shopify store URL into the audit tool. Your browser fetches the public /products.json endpoint, scores 8 categories (descriptions, image alt text, variant SKUs, pricing, inventory, SEO basics, Schema.org, catalog size), and renders a 0–100 score with letter grade and 3–5 specific fixes. Nothing is sent to our server.

Is it really free?

Yes. The audit is free forever and does not require a signup. The UCP Feed Shopify app is also free during the public beta — every install gets a UCP-compliant feed for the entire active catalog, with no product cap and no metering. Paid tiers with usage-based billing will arrive later; we won't start charging existing installs without at least 30 days' email notice.

Do you store my store data?

No product data, ever. The audit runs in your browser against the public /products.json endpoint. The only data we store is the email you submit to the waitlist, and you can delete it with one click. The UCP Feed app does not write your product data to durable storage — the Worker transforms the feed in memory and discards it after each request.

Will it slow my store down?

No. The audit reads your public catalog via the same /products.json endpoint that search engines and AI agents already use — Shopify serves it from the same CDN as the rest of your storefront. The UCP Feed app runs entirely on Cloudflare’s edge and does not call your store from a slow path.

When is the paid tier launching?

The free public beta continues for the foreseeable future. We’ll email all waitlist subscribers at least 30 days before any paid tier is introduced.

Status

Service status is published on this page. We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime. The Worker exposes a /healthz endpoint for live health checks; if you see a 5xx or unexpected 404, email thermoye@yahoo.com with the time and the URL you hit.

Report a bug or abuse

If you’ve found a bug, a scoring mistake, or have evidence of abuse (e.g. someone scraping feeds they shouldn’t), email thermoye@yahoo.com with the URL and a short description. We triage reports within one business day.
